Areca leaf is considered as a waste product from areca plant, and farmers just leave the leaf to decay in their farm to convert to fertilizer to the plant. Some farmers use it as fodder for their cattle. And some people use it as fire-wood, because of fast fire character of dry sheath. Sheath also used as fire-wood for boilers in the
Manufacturing process:Fallen areca leaves collected from the areca plantation.Sheath is separated from the leaves.Apparently cleaned and sun-dried which helps to avoid fungus, helps in longer shelf life of raw material.Some 25 or 50 sheaths bundled tied tightly after 2-3 days of sun drying, then stored in a water and moisture proof room.
Then taken to the factory space, sheath cleaned using high pressure water and kept in water for few hours to bring flexibility in raw material.
Then the raw material is kept in hot press plate making machine.
Obtained finished plates then taken for quality inspection.
If any product not meets the standards like shape, color , thickness, cracks or damages will be rejected. And also edge trimming process is carried out.After completion of finishing work, plates kept in oven with the temperature maintained about 180 degrees to remove all moisture content if any remaining in material. This process help to increase the life of plates.
The Palm leaf products are being produced with natural sustainable resource, made from fallen dried leaves of Areca palm tree (100% natural), through Eco-friendly process (no chemicals or additives used) and make sure it is acceptable to Earth when disposed (biodegradable and compo stable).
Then packaging process is carried out according to the customer’s requirement like 25 pieces, 50 pieces, 100 pieces/package. And packages filled in the carton boxes for exporting purposes.
